[Troubleshooting] iphoness/androids phoness are slow to connect to the router wireless (Wi-Fi) network

There are some situations that slow down the wireless (Wi-Fi) network or it may be a problem with the phones or the network. If your iphoness or androids phones is slow to connect to the ASUS Router's wireless (Wi-Fi) network, please refer to the instructions below.
Note:
a. It is recommended to try to use other devices (laptops or other phoness) to connect to the same wireless (Wi-Fi) network to confirm whether the same situation exists.
If it's a phones problem, it's recommended to contact your phones manufacturer for help.
b. After trying to remove the ASUS router, use other devices (laptops or other routers) to connect to your ISP modem to confirm whether situation is the same.
If it is a problem with the ISP modem, it is recommended to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to confirm the network speed.

1. Check whether the distance between your phones and the router is too far
3. Confirm whether the phones VPN is in use
4. Try to clear the browser cookies and application cache
5. Try restarting your router and phones
6. Try to adjust the wireless (Wi-Fi) channel of the router

8. Try to update the phones and router system/firmware version to optimize device performance

Please place the router close to the frequently used mobiles phones. Shorten the distance between the mobiles phones and the router and avoid obstacles, and to avoid affecting the signal strength due to the signal transmission distance.
You can judge whether the current connection signal strength is sufficient according to the signal strength displayed on the phones.

Go to [Settings] > [Network & Internet] > [Internet] > Tap the connected Wi-Fi name (SSID) to check the signal strength.

The 5GHz signal is faster than the 2.4GHz signal. You can try to use the 5GHz signal to increase the network speed when the signal strength is the same.

Go to [settings] > [Network & internet] > [Internet] > Tap the connected Wi-Fi name (SSID) to check the frequency as 2.4GHz or 5GHz.

Please turn off the VPN function of your phones before confirming the Wi-Fi speed.

Note: Restarting the router will not affect any existing settings of the wireless router. Instead, it can release some data temporary storage space (RAM) to improve system performance and make the wireless router run more smoothly.
The wireless channel of ASUS wireless router is default to [Auto], you can manually adjust to other wireless channels according to your needs.

By default, ASUS routers will automatically obtain the IP of the DNS server from the Internet Service Provider (ISP). You can manually select one of the DNS servers in the DNS list, such as Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Note: After updating the firmware of the ASUS router, it is recommended to reset the router to the factory default. After the router is set up, reconnect the phones to the router's wireless (Wi-Fi) network.
